Hosts
Host payout schedule
Know exactly when your guest pays — and when you get paid.
Plextell is designed to make medium-term rentals simpler for hosts. Guests pay through the platform, first-payment funds are secured before move-in, and payouts are released automatically according to a clear schedule.
Every payment tied to a booking — what your guest has been charged, what is scheduled next, and when each payout lands — is tracked in your host dashboard.
No chasing rent
Each rental period is charged to the guest’s saved payment method on schedule, and failed payments are followed up for you.
No unclear payment dates
Every charge date and payout date is set when the booking is confirmed, and visible before you accept it.
No manual monthly transfers
Payouts are released to your payout method automatically once each check-in protection window passes.
How host payments work
Every booking passes the same three stages before a single dollar moves.
- 01
A guest requests your property
A request costs the guest nothing and commits them to nothing — a payment method is only added once you accept.
At this stage, you can review:
- Guest profile
- Identity verification status
- Requested dates
- Length of stay
- Number of occupants
- Booking total
- Proposed payment schedule
You can accept or decline the request.
- 02
You accept the booking
Once you accept, the guest receives the final booking details and rental agreement. The property is not fully confirmed until the guest completes the required payment.
The guest will see:
- Rental dates
- Monthly rent
- Applicable fees
- Deposit, if applicable
- Cancellation terms
- Payment schedule
- Amount due today
- 03
The guest signs and pays
The guest adds a payment method, electronically signs the rental agreement, and you countersign. The card is charged once both signatures are verified.
For most bookings, this includes:
- First rental period
- Applicable renter fees
- Legally permitted deposit, if applicable
- Any approved add-ons
Once payment has been successfully secured, the booking becomes confirmed.
Payment secured before move-in
You should never have to hold your property without confirmed payment.
Your listing calendar automatically blocks the confirmed dates the moment the guest’s first payment clears.
Payment secured
You’ll also see:
- Gross rent
- Platform deductions
- Estimated host payout
- Payout date
- Future scheduled payments
Your first payout
First payout is released after check-in.
The guest’s first payment is collected before arrival. After the guest checks in, a short check-in protection period begins — and if no qualifying issue is reported, your first payout is released automatically.
A typical payout may begin processing approximately
24 hoursafter check-in
Bank processing time may vary depending on your payout method and financial institution.
Check-in protection
The check-in protection period helps protect both hosts and renters. When the guest arrives, they can confirm Everything looks good or Report an issue.
If no issue is reported within the applicable protection window, payout proceeds automatically. If a qualifying issue is reported, payout may be temporarily paused while the situation is reviewed.
Guests cannot simply delay your payout indefinitely by ignoring the check-in confirmation.

Multi-month stays
Future rent is collected automatically.
For bookings lasting multiple months, guests do not need to manually send rent every month. Plextell automatically charges their saved payment method before the next rental period.

Once each payment is successfully processed, your corresponding host payout follows the applicable payout schedule.
Why future rent is charged early
Future payments are generally scheduled several days before the next rental period. This allows time to:
- Process the payment
- Retry failed transactions
- Notify the guest
- Update an expired payment method
- Reduce unpaid occupancy risk
Hosts can see upcoming renter payment dates in the dashboard.
If a guest payment fails
If a scheduled payment fails, Plextell will notify the guest immediately. The platform may:
- Retry the payment
- Request a new payment method
- Notify you of the payment status
- Temporarily pause future payout
- Apply the terms of the rental agreement where necessary
You should not need to personally chase the guest for payment.

When a booking changes
Cancellations, early departures, extensions, and deposits all follow terms you can see before you accept.
What happens if the guest cancels?
Your payout depends on the cancellation policy associated with the booking.
Before accepting the reservation, you’ll see:
- Cancellation deadline
- Refundable amount
- Non-refundable amount
- First-rental-period protection
- Applicable host compensation
If the guest cancels after a non-refundable deadline, you may still be entitled to some or all of the applicable rental amount, subject to the booking terms and local law.
What happens if the guest leaves early?
A guest leaving early does not automatically cancel their remaining financial obligations.
The applicable terms depend on:
- The rental agreement
- Notice period
- Cancellation policy
- Local tenancy laws
- Any approved booking amendment
Plextell will show the applicable terms before the booking is confirmed.
A guest wants to stay longer?
If you approve an extension, Plextell updates:
- Move-out date
- Total rental amount
- Payment schedule
- Host payout schedule
The guest must approve and complete any required payment before the extension becomes confirmed. You do not need to create a completely new booking.
Deposits
Some bookings may include a legally permitted deposit or damage-related security amount.
Where applicable, Plextell will show:
- Amount collected
- How it is handled
- Applicable deduction rules
- Refund process
- Timing
Deposit regulations vary by location, so availability and structure may differ by property.
How the money reaches you
Your payout method, and what decides when the transfer lands.
Payout methods
Hosts can receive payouts through supported payment methods such as:
- Bank transfer
- Direct deposit
- Other supported payout methods
Available options may vary by country. You can manage your payout method under Host dashboard → Payouts → Payout method.
Updating your payout method
You can change your payout method from your host account.
For security purposes, certain changes may require additional verification. A payout already in processing may still be sent to the previously selected account.
Payout processing time
Once Plextell initiates a payout, the time it takes to arrive depends on:
- Bank processing times
- Weekends
- Public holidays
- Payout method
- Country
- Account verification status
Your dashboard will show the current status of each payout.
Host payment protection
Never rely on screenshots or promises of payment.
For reservations made through Plextell, payment should remain on-platform. Do not accept requests to move a confirmed booking off-platform.
Keep payments on Plextell
A booking paid on the platform leaves a record of:
- Booking confirmation
- Payment status
- Rental amount
- Cancellation terms
- Payout history
- Dispute records
Never accept off-platform payments
A guest should never be required to:
- Wire rent directly to you
- Send cash before move-in
- Pay through an unrelated payment app
- Transfer money outside Plextell for a platform booking
If a guest requests an off-platform payment arrangement, contact Plextell support.

Host payout FAQ
Getting paid
Does the guest pay before moving in?
Yes. The first required rental payment must be secured before a booking becomes fully confirmed.
Do I have to collect rent myself?
No. Plextell handles scheduled guest payments for bookings completed through the platform.
When do I receive my first payout?
Typically after the guest checks in and the applicable check-in protection period ends.
Can I see my net payout before accepting?
Yes. The expected payout and applicable deductions should be visible before you confirm the booking.
Guest payments
Can the guest move in without paying?
A confirmed booking should not proceed unless the required first payment has been successfully secured.
What if the guest’s next monthly payment fails?
Plextell will notify the guest, attempt to resolve the payment issue, and update you through your dashboard.
Does the guest control whether I get paid?
No. Guest check-in feedback may trigger a review during the protection period, but payout does not remain indefinitely dependent on the guest manually pressing a button.
Payment structure
Can I require full payment upfront?
Payment structures may vary by stay length, property, location, and applicable rules.
Can I receive all three months upfront?
Some bookings may allow upfront payment, while longer stays may use monthly billing.
What happens if the guest extends the booking?
A new payment and payout schedule is generated for the extension.
